Compared to the disc granulator, the drum granulator relies on increasing the temperature of the granulation to increase the amount of liquid phase in the base material, so that the material becomes a ball at a lower moisture content, which has the advantages of easy drying, energy saving and consumption reduction. However, when the process conditions are not well controlled, the rejection of material is high.
Disc granulator: almost all organic materials can be granulated with a disc of granular fertilizer technology. After the material has been dried, the fine powder is sent to the disc granulator with sufficient fertiliser material. The material is mixed and sprayed with water through a humidifier. With the rotation of the disc granulator, the material is granulated, then sieved and dried again. Afterwards, it can be bagged. This organic fertiliser granulator has a moderate production capacity and requires low power. The granules are in round shape size. In granulation, the organic fertiliser raw material needs to be dried and crushed.
Advantages: organic fertiliser granulator with uniform granulation, very low regrind and high production capacity.
Disadvantages: organic fertilizer granulator can not be pre-treated materials, dust and smoke pollution is more serious.
The rotary drum granulator has a unique design: the rotary drum granulator, material particles can collide directly with each other organic high moisture materials. With a wide range of applications and no special requirements for materials, it is widely used in large organic fertiliser production lines. In addition, it is possible to produce organic fertiliser directly by eliminating the need for pre-drying and crushing. The organic fertiliser has a good appearance due to the high granulation rate and the spherical shape of the granules.
Advantages: by raising the temperature of granulation to increase the amount of liquid phase in the base material, prompting the material to become spherical at a lower water content, with the advantages of easy drying, energy saving and consumption reduction.
Disadvantages: when the process conditions are not well controlled, the return material is higher than the disc granulator.
